iPhone 5S Touch ID demo will be available to try in stores

Found this online. Enjoy!!

Apple finally introduced the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c last week, and with just a couple of days to go before the big launch, fans of the device are currently weighing up their options. It would seem, at least for the time being, as though consumers are drawn to the flagship iPhone 5s, and with a bunch of new features including iPhone 5s Touch ID, it’s not hard to see why many have overlooked the colorful, budget iPhone 5c. Although some may see a fingerprint sensor as a bit of a gimmick, it’s an intriguing feature to say the least, and in order to familiarize prospective buyers with the new implementation, Apple will be showing it off in its iconic retail stores using a demo app.

The iPhone 5s will be the very first smartphone to pack a 64-bit processor, and considering it will also be the first to ship with iOS 7 right out of the box, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about it. But upon opening the box, most will be looking to try that Touch ID out for the very first time, and with the Home button having been a permanent feature for nigh-on six years now, it will be interesting to see how iPhone users adapt to the adjusted hardware.

To make the process as painless as possible, demo units of the iPhone 5s will be kitted out with a specialist app enabling consumers to test the new feature out, according to a report over at9to5mac. It allows the consumer to go through the process of setting up with their own fingerprint and testing it out the authentication. The demo won’t actually let consumers unlock a device or enter a password using Touch ID, but rather present an idea of how the technology works.

The app also offers information on how one can set up Touch ID after the purchase of an iPhone 5s, and with just a couple of days to go now until the launch, we certainly cannot wait to try Touch ID out for ourselves.
